im still havingthe wackiest of dreams. last night i had a dream that i went to see a movie about how dating has changed in the last ten years and what 20 somethings do on dates as opposed to when we were 14 or 15. but the whole film was kind of done in this strange salvador dali desert scene.
it was so weird.
two days ago, i slept the whole day long because i was so sick and getting over a night of getting up every couple hours to go hang out by the toilet. and erica, drucila's sister who has downs syndrome, is a huge fan of blasting music from the 60s and 70s as loud as she can, so i would wake up every so often to hear old tracks like this one, which i didn't mind because this is a great song.
before when i was still sick and reeling in my bacteria madness, i dremt that a small population of people had been taken from the earth and put on a new planet where the constitution was still being decided and basically everything was new and no one knew what to do. it was like astroturf land. and everything was for sale. the only thing to do on this planet was buy things! they had outdoor stands everywhere where you could buy basically anything. i think i went into one of these places and saw a few guys standing there, not saying anything or talking or moving. and i was like "are they for sale too?"
and then later we were going to bring in a new constitution, but it was going to be almost exactly like the old one from the u.s.a, even though people were gung ho about it. and i just knew something was wrong, because the leaders were also saying it was "new and reformed and more socialist" but it was exactly like the bill of rights, which wouldn't be bad but i felt like we had this opportunity to start all over again, why would we do the very same thing?
so i got up and had the article in my hand and said "well, before we bring in ol' uncle sam, i want to suggest that we think about this and come up with something new." something was happening like they thought we ought to outlaw religion because maybe the world would be better place. but i made a stand for Christians, and made it known that we would have to include religious freedom because i was sure that there were Christians in this group and that if we weren't "passing on religion to our children, at least we would be passing on faith in Jesus." and i was standing in front of a hushed crowd. and there were some old peasant looking people there who were obviously Christians and they kind of held their kids close to them and smiled.
possibly the strangest dream i have ever had.
